Vanessa Lachey Offers Glimpses of Son's Birthday Bash, Ohio Marching Band Takes on 'The Fox'

It's not always enough to know what's "trending." It kind of helps to know why. Welcome to The Social Climber, where we provide a quick primer on the people, places and things that are being feverishly searched and shared online -- and try to make sense of it all.

Vanessa Lachey and her husband, Nick Lachey, were so excited about son Camden's first birthday that they couldn't help but tweet all the little details about how they were celebrating.

Vanessa posted a picture of blue and white cupcakes beneath a star with a zebra on it, courtesy of brother-in-law Drew Lachey and his wife, Lea, tweeting that she was in Cincinnati for the birthday bash. She even posted a photo of Camden in a "Made in Ohio" onesie, saying that the outfit did not lie. TMI, Vanessa.

Proud dad and former 98 Degrees singer Nick got a little more emotional.

The Social Climber has a sneaking suspicion little Camden is going to put some social media rules in effect for mom and dad when he grows up.

Norwegian duo Ylvis' viral hit "The Fox" might have made its rounds into your inbox and Facebook newsfeed, but you know you've made it big when a university marching band covers your song during a halftime show.

The Marching 110, Ohio University's marching band, took to the field at halftime during the Bobcats' game against the Marshall Thunder Herd Saturday to bust out their brassy rendition of the song.

Sadly, no one in the band dressed up like the animals in the video. For shame, Marching 110.

She might be known for her turn as Clair Huxtable on "The Cosby Show," but Phylicia Rashad has proven she has some serious directorial chops, too.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the bombing at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., Rashad directed a reading of the play "Four Little Girls: Birmingham 1963" at Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center Sunday, the Associated Press reported.

Rashad said she wanted the reading to be a "sanctity of joy, human existence and the value of all life," according to the AP.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck might have taken a brief hiatus from television since departing from "The View" in July, but now she's back and everyone is talking about it.

Hasselbeck made her debut as Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade's newest partner on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" this morning.

"Joining the Fox News family is the equivalent of growing up as a Boston Red Sox fan or a Yankees fan and being asked to play for the team," she said in a promotional video for the program. "This is an honor and a privilege and I'm just beyond thrilled to be on the team."

Batter up.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Keep Us Guessing

If the test of any healthy relationship is following your significant other on Twitter, then the Social Climber is not sure what the future holds for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Chaos erupted this weekend when the "Wrecking Ball" singer unfollowed her fiancé on Twitter, but it seems like the "Hunger Games" star is taking things in stride.

The 23-year-old actor attended the VIP pre-fight party for Showtime PPV's presentation of "The One: Mayweather vs. Canelo" with his pals, and didn't seem too shaken up about losing his future wife as a fan on social media, E! News reported.

Why Hemsworth hasn't unfollowed Cyrus is anyone's guess.
