Andy Murray's Wimbledon career over post-Raducanu withdrawal
Murray and Raducanu has been set to take on Zhang Shuai and Marcelo Arevalo as the final game on Court No. 1 on Saturday but the 21-year-old's wrist pain proved too problematic to go ahead with the match. Raducanu underwent surgery on both wrists in 2023.
"Unfortunately I woke up with some stiffness in my right wrist this morning, so therefore I have decided to make the very tough decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles tonight," Raducanu said.
"I'm disappointed as I was really looking forward to playing with Andy but I've got to take care."
Murray, 37, won two Wimbledon men's singles titles in 2013 and 2016, arguably the highlights of a glittering career.
Raducanu remains in the singles draw and will take on Lulu Sun of New Zealand in the round of 16 on Sunday.
