Billboard pushes for Johnny Manziel
— -- One influential Texas A&M fan is hoping to continue rooting for Johnny Manziel as he enters the NFL draft this year.
Tony Buzbee, an attorney and Texas A&M regent, commissioned a billboard in the Houston area encouraging the Texans to draft Manziel with the first pick in the May draft.
The billboard reads "Keep Johnny football in Texas!" and directs people to DraftJohnnyManziel.com.
Buzbee's website, which features an altered photograph of Manziel in a Texans jersey, contains a petition to compel Texans owner Bob McNair to draft the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner.
"This site is dedicated to supporting Johnny Manziel as the No. 1 draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2014," says a note on the site. "To win in the NFL, a team must have a quarterback with strong leadership skills, a winning attitude and lots of talent. Johnny Manziel is a winner and he is a unique talent. College football has never seen anything like him."
Buzbee and McNair are neighbors, the Galveston Daily News reported.
