— -- Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper exited Thursday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays with an apparent left knee injury.

Harper stepped and fell awkwardly in the sixth inning while attempting to make a throw. He lay on the ground for a few minutes, holding his left knee, before limping off the field.

The right fielder is in the midst of a stellar season. Entering Thursday, he was batting .344 with 22 home runs and 53 RBIs. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Rays before exiting.

He was replaced by Clint Robinson.
