— -- Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and is in the lineup Sunday against the Houston Astros.

Davis, who led the majors in home runs and RBIs last season, had been sidelined since April 25 due to an oblique strain.

The 28-year-old first baseman needed only one minor league rehab game to convince the Orioles that he was ready to be activated.

Davis was off to a slow start this season prior to the oblique injury, batting .250 with two homers and 13 RBIs in his first 22 games.

The Orioles have not announced a corresponding roster move to Davis' activation.
