Dan Haren agrees with Dodgers

— -- Former All-Star Dan Haren and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a one-year deal worth $10 million, according to FOXSports.com.

The deal, which reportedly includes a 2015 option that vests at 180 innings pitched, is contingent on the right-hander passing a physical.

Haren, 33, lives in nearby Orange County and had expressed his desire to pitch on the West Coast after spending one season with the Washington Nationals, where he went 10-14 with a 4.67 ERA. That was the worst full-season ERA of his career, but he rebounded strong after a short stay on the disabled list with a 3.29 ERA and 84 strikeouts in his final 15 starts.

For his career Haren is 129-111 with a 3.74 ERA.

The Dodgers are in need of rotation depth.  Chad Billingsley is coming off Tommy John surgery to his right elbow and  Josh Beckett had surgery in July to remove his top right rib in an effort to alleviate pressure on a nerve.
