— -- Fantasy Football playoffs are underway and we have a series of storms affecting the Northwest as we head into the weekend. Here’s how the weather might affect some of your fantasy league players.

Heavy rain is in the forecast in Seattle, where the Cleveland Browns play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, the running back situation on both teams is not looking good. First of all, on the Seahawks, Marshawn Lynch has been out on injury, and now his backup, who has been doing an excellent job, just suffered a season-ending injury last week.

It’s not a good idea to play any running back against the Seahawks defense, which has given up the fewest fantasy points to the position this season. On the Browns, we have Isaiah Crowell, who had a great game last week against the 49ers. But don’t let that fool you.

Even with the rain, it will be hard for Crowell to put up those kind of numbers in Seattle. Duke Johnson, Jr. is looking more and more promising as his usage is increasing, but he’s still second in the line in the backfield behind Crowell.

Gary Barnidge is one of the best tight ends in the league ranking third in the position. Besides that wet weather, he has a lot going for him this week that weighs it out. Manziel will be the starting quarterback and Barnidge is one of his favorite targets. Also, one of the only vulnerabilities the Seahawks defense has is against tight ends.

As we head south to Oakland, California, the Packers play the Raiders on Sunday, also at 4:05 p.m. ET.

The chance of rain here opens the doors for Eddie Lacy to have another big game. He’s gotten over 100 yards in three straight outings, and of course many of those in not-so-great weather. Make sure he’s in your lineup this week. Richard Rodgers is another Packer to play in week 15. The Raiders defense have allowed tight ends to score in all but three games this season.

Not too far away in San Francisco, it’s no surprise that wet weather is also in the forecast on Sunday afternoon during the Bengals and 49ers match-up. Unfortunately, the Niners placed Carlos Hyde on season-ending IR this weekend, although he hasn’t played since week 7, at one point there was hope he would return this season.

It doesn’t get much better with injuries on the Bengals. Andy Dalton has a fractured thumb on his throwing hand, so AJ McCarron will be starting quarterback this weekend. That’s a huge reason it will be a heavy running game, along with the scattered showers. Both Jeremey Hill and Gio Bernard are worthy of flex plays this week against the 49ers, as they will want to keep that ball on the ground.
