Giannis Antetokounmpo has a minor joint capsule sprain of his left knee and will not play in the remaining two games of the Milwaukee Bucks' road trip, the team announced.

Antetokounmpo suffered the injury in Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers and underwent an MRI, which revealed the injury.

He will miss Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns and Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets.

Antetokounmpo, the NBA's reigning MVP, is third in the NBA with a 29.6 points-per-game average.
