— -- USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo told ESPN's Marc Stein that, to date, no NBA players have withdrawn from USAB's Olympic player pool for concerns over the Zika virus in Brazil.

Colangelo said Monday that the only players fully out of contention for this summer's Olympic team are those who have suffered recent injuries.

Colangelo's comments came after Warriors star Stephen Curry announced he would skip the Rio Games, citing "recent ankle and knee injuries."

Curry was one of 31 finalists announced earlier this year for Team USA's roster. Other candidates who have withdrawn because of injury include Pelicans forward Anthony Davis and Clippers stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.

A source told Stein that Warriors guard Klay Thompson still intends to play in the Olympics. Warriors teammates Draymond Green and  Harrison Barnes also told The Undefeated's Marc Spears that they both still want to play for Team USA.

Colangelo said in March that he hoped to unveil the 12-man Olympic roster in late June.

Several high-profile athletes, including Bulls forward Pau Gasol, top-ranked golfer Jason Day and reigning French Open champion Novak Djokovic, recently have expressed concern over the outbreaks of the Zika virus in Brazil.

The Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro begin in August.
