— -- NEW YORK - The New York Knicks signed reserve guard Jermaine Jackson for the remainder of the season on Sunday. Jackson was originally signed to the first of two 10-day contracts on February 28. The Knicks had to either sign Jackson for the rest of the year or release him by Sunday, when his second 10-day contract expired. In just four games with the Knicks, Jackson averaged 1.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 7.0 minutes.
