— -- SALT LAKE CITY -- Los Angeles Lakers rookie forward Brandon Ingram, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, left Friday's game against the Utah Jazz with a right knee injury and was ruled out to return.

The Lakers said Ingram's sore right knee would be re-evaluated Saturday.

Ingram, a 6-foot-9 former Duke standout, tweaked his knee early in the first half and left after playing just four minutes. The Lakers initially said that Ingram was cleared to return, but he was re-evaluated again at halftime and it was determined that he would sit for the rest of the game.

Ingram finished with two points on 1-of-2 shooting off the bench.

After playing the Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena, the Lakers are scheduled to head to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder on Sunday.
