— -- A Little Leaguer couldn’t have timed his mammoth home run any better during the Little League World Series -- crushing one over the fence just as his family was being interviewed on live TV.

ESPN's Jaymee Sire was interviewing Terrence Gist’s mother and twin sister as Gist, who plays for South Carolina, was at the plate facing a pitcher from Rhode Island in the third inning Friday.

While his sister was talking about playing football with her brother, Gist smacked a home run past the light tower at the stadium.

As Gist was rounding the bases and touched home plate, his mom and sister stood and cheered.

“How about that?” Sire asked Gist's mom. “She’s speechless, you guys.”

South Carolina defeated Rhode Island, 7-1. Alex Edmondson pitched a no-hitter for South Carolina.
