— -- LeBron James is swollen and sore after suffering a blow and cuts to the face in the Miami Heat's win Thursday night in Oklahoma City. But he's expecting to play Sunday when the Heat host the Chicago Bulls (3:30 EST on ABC), sources told ESPN.com.

James had to leave the Heat's 103-81 victory over the Thunder in the fourth quarter after Serge Ibaka caught him on the face on a drive to the basket. James bled on the floor and went to the locker room and did not return to the game or speak to reporters after it. He scored the last of his 33 points on the play, on which there was no foul called.

The team is waiting for the swelling to go down before determining what treatment he'll require. It was not immediately clear whether James had suffered a broken nose.

The Heat took Friday off after they wrapped up a six-game road trip. They went 5-1 on the trip with all the victories coming over teams that are currently in playoff position in the Western Conference. The successful trip pulled them to within a game of the Indiana Pacers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Heat's schedule now turns favorable as 17 of their final 29 games are at home. They begin a four-game homestand on Sunday.
