Leffler drives Monte Carlo to pole win at Bashas

— -- AVONDALE, Arizona -- Jason Leffler's Chevrolet Monte Carlo was the fastest car in Friday's qualifications for the NASCAR Busch Bashas' Supermarkets 200. Leffler won his second career pole with a lap at 130.170 miles per hour at Phoenix International Raceway. NASCAR Nextel Cup regular and 2003 series champion Matt Kenseth clocked in at 129.894 mph in a Ford Fusion and will flank Leffler in the front row. Kurt Busch finished third in a Dodge Charger, followed by the Ford of Busch series regular Regan Smith. Nextel Cup rookie Reed Sorenson's Dodge rounded out the top five.
