— -- Louisville coach Rick Pitino and Minnesota coach Richard Pitino will play a unique father-son game in next season's Armed Forces Classic at the U.S. Coast Guard's Air Station Borinquen in Puerto Rico.

The game, which is set for Nov. 14, 2014, is sponsored by the Department of Defense and ESPN.

The third annual game follows Oregon's victory last month over Georgetown at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, South Korea.

A year ago, Connecticut beat Michigan State at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The inaugural military game on the USS Carl Vinson off Coronado Island in 2011, won by North Carolina over Michigan State, was in conjunction with the U.S. Navy but wasn't part of the five-year Armed Forces Classic rotation.

ESPN and the DOD also announced Wednesday that the 2015 Armed Forces Classic (teams to be determined) will be held on a U.S. Marine base, likely outside the United States, on Nov. 13, 2015.

The fifth and final game in this series may be the most anticipated.

The 2016 event will feature a doubleheader at a Naval base in a hangar at Pearl Harbor on Nov. 11, less than a month before the 75th anniversary of the infamous attack on the Honolulu base. The four teams for that event will be announced at a later date.
