The delay in the Miami Marlins' first game back after the team's coronavirus outbreak has been resolved and Tuesday night's game at Camden Yards will begin at 8:15 p.m. ET, the  Orioles announced.

Major League Baseball released a statement around three hours before the scheduled 7:35 p.m. start Tuesday, saying the game "may be delayed as we await the final test results clearing the Marlins to resume play.''

Multiple coronavirus tests for the Marlins had come back inconclusive, but were rerun and all came back negative, a source confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The Marlins finally got cleared to play and arrived at the ballpark after 5 p.m, but by 6:15 the teams still had not agreed on a starting time.

When he woke up, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde wasn't certain if the game would be played at all.

He said, "I got word there were issues with the test and we were going to be put on hold."

The Marlins haven't played a game since July 26 after at least 18 players, and 21 in the traveling party, tested positive following a series against the  Philadelphia Phillies. The outbreak forced an eight-day hiatus for the team that included nine missed games.

Tuesday's game is a makeup from July 29, which was supposed to be Baltimore's home opener. The Orioles instead played the New York Yankees.
