Red Sox re-sign Stephen Drew

— -- Stephen Drew and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to terms on a one-year, $14 million deal (prorated), pending a physical, a baseball source confirmed.

The deal matches what Drew would have received if he had accepted the Red Sox's qualifying offer in the offseason.

Drew will be arriving in Boston later Tuesday.

Drew has been working out regularly and participating in baseball activities with a trainer assigned to him by agent Scott Boras. The expectation in Drew's camp is that it would take him not much more than a week to be ready to play in the majors.

FoxSports.com had earlier reported Drew's agreement with the Red Sox.
