A's ship OF Reddick, P Hill to Dodgers in return for prospects

— -- With the trade deadline fast approaching, the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off a multi-player deal early Monday afternoon.

The A's sent outfielder Josh Reddick and left-handed pitcher Rich Hill to the Dodgers in a deal first reported by Fox Sports

Multiple reports have the A's getting pitching prospects Grant Holmes,   Frankie Montas and Jharel Cotton in return.

Reddick was batting .296 with 8 HR and 28 RBI in 68 games for the A's this season. He missed nearly five weeks with a fractured thumb.

Hill, who is 9-3 on the season with a 2.25 ERA, is currently on the 15-day disabled list due to a blister, retroactive to July 20.
