— -- LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Colorado Rockies have acquired Brett Anderson from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for pitchers Drew Pomeranz and Chris Jensen, sources told ESPN's Buster Olney.

Anderson, who was the Opening Day pitcher for the A's last season and is due to make $8 million in 2014, eventually went to the bullpen. He finished with a 1-4 record, three saves and a 6.04 ERA.

Anderson has been plagued by injuries, including a foot problem that limited him to 16 appearances in 2013.

Pomeranz, a left-hander, dealt with left biceps tendinitis during 2013 and was 0-4 with a 6.23 ERA.
