Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Domantas Sabonis is leaving the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, to seek a specialist for treatment of a significant left foot injury, sources tell ESPN.

Sabonis, who has been attempting to play through plantar fasciitis, hopes to eventually rejoin the team in Orlando, but he could miss the rest of the season, sources said.

The Pacers could lose their two best players -- Sabonis and Victor Oladipo --- before the team's restart next week. Oladipo may still opt out of the season, although he's been participating in practices and the Pacers' first scrimmage victory over Portland.

Sabonis, 24, was chosen for his first NBA All-Star Game this season. He signed a four-year, $75 million contract extension that will begin at the start of next season.

Sabonis has averaged 18.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and five assists this season for Indiana.
