Super Bowl: NFL Playoffs Feature Marquee Quarterback Matchups
Four of the NFL's elite quarterbacks are all one win away from the Super Bowl.
— -- Four of the NFL's most recognizable quarterbacks take center stage this weekend -- all of them just one win away from Super Bowl XLIX.
The four remaining quarterbacks can be separated into two categories: the seasoned veterans vs. the young gunslingers.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers are the seasoned vets. Or if you will, kings of the NFL's elite quarterback club.
Seattle's Russell Wilson and Indianapolis Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck, on the other hand, are the future faces of the league, successors to the throne Brady and Rodgers currently hold.
Here's a breakdown of the final four and their stats -- on and off -- the field.
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP
The only thing standing in front of Brady's fourth Super Bowl win is 25-year-old Luck, who was just 11 years old when Brady was hoisting his first Super Bowl trophy.
Brady, 37, has had an unparalleled career, which includes two NFL MVP awards and 10 trips to the Pro Bowl. The future hall of famer has a pretty sweet life away from the Patriots, too.
Brady married supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2009 and pulls in about $7 million a year -- but that doesn't include endorsement deals with Uggs, Movado and Smartwater.
Luck has made his mark in Indianapolis by replacing the legendary Peyton Manning and leading the Colts to three straight playoff appearances. Luck, who signed a four-year, $22M deal in 2012, has endorsements with Nike and a stake in Body Armor's SuperDrink.
When it comes to Hollywood appeal, Brady's movie star looks have landed him the hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" and appearances on "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy." Luck prefers his privacy and travels to Europe during the offseason so he can get some alone time away from the bright spotlight of the NFL.
NFC CHAMPIONSHIP
In the NFC Championship matchup, both Wilson and Rodgers have won a Super Bowl.
Rodgers, 31, has more experience (with nine playoff starts) compared to Wilson's five.
Where Rodgers differentiates himself from Wilson is in the paycheck. Rodgers makes roughly $17 million a year while Wilson makes under $1 million. Wilson is set to negotiate a new contract that will have him seeing many dollar signs for years to come.
Wilson has small endorsement deals with Alaskan Airlines and Microsoft. Rodgers is a pitch man for Nike and can be seen in State farm commercials with "SNL" alums Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon.
Oh, and we almost forgot to mention. Rodgers dates actress Olivia Munn.
Sorry, Russell.
