— -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is scheduled to have surgery Thursday to repair the torn ACL and other structural damage in his left knee, according to a source.

The Vikings at this time believe Bridgewater will eventually make a full recovery and resume his NFL career, a source said, but more will be known after the surgery is completed.

Bridgewater suffered the season-ending injury without contact in a Vikings' practice last week.

The Vikings moved to replace the third-year quarterback by trading with the Philadelphia Eagles for Sam Bradford, a transaction costing Minnesota two draft choices, including their first-round draft pick in 2017 and a conditional fourth-rounder in 2018.
