— -- LOGAN, UTAH (AP) -- Jaycee Carroll scored 20 points and Nate Harris scored 17 to lead Utah State University to an 81-47 win over Binghamton University in the championship game of the Gossner Foods Holiday Classic Friday night. Cass Matheus also scored eight points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds for USU (8-3). Leading scorer for the Bearcats (3-9) was Andre Heard with nine. Heard, leading scorer on the season for the Bearcats (15.5 ppg), shot 3-for-16 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line. As a team, Binghamton shot 27 percent from the field. USU was never threatened after a first-half scoring drought by the Bearcats. In the game's opening minutes, the teams traded baskets and the lead until the Aggies went on a 21-0 run and took at 40-21 lead at halftime. The Bearcats went nine minutes without scoring during the Aggie run. Arkansas-Little Rock defeated Idaho State 73-72 in the consolation round of the holiday tournament.
