Western Michigan WR Corey Davis sets FBS record in his final regular-season game

— -- KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan wide receiver Corey Davis set a new national record in his final regular-season collegiate game.

Davis' third catch of the afternoon against Toledo gave him 5,007 career receiving yards, passing Nevada's Trevor Insley for the most receiving yards by an FBS-level player.

Davis entered Western Michigan's season finale 18 yards shy of breaking the record with 310 career catches. He added 11 more yards on another catch two plays after breaking the record, helping to set up a Bronco touchdown in the process.

He started the day with 1,202 yards during his senior season to go along with a nation-leading 16 touchdown catches.
