Aug. 16, 2010— -- Shopping on eBay is becoming a bit more like shopping at a supermarket. The auction site offers a rewards program, called eBay Bucks. It gives customers a 2 percent credit on purchases made using PayPal. Credit can be earned on most, but not all, eBay purchases.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch says his company plans to produce a national digital newspaper. The paper will be distributed exclusively on iPads, mobile phones and other tablet computers, and features short, snappy stories. But this digital newspaper won't be free, the company plans to charge for it. The paper is expected to launch by the end of the year.

Facebook has launched a live video channel. Facebook Live offers a peak at what's new at the company, including demos of new features, special events and interviews with celebrity guests that visit its headquarters. Facebook users will be able to comment during live shows and potentially have their questions answered. Members will also be able to play back shows whenever they want.

Star Wars fanatics will soon be able to fill a void in their collections. The sci-fi epic is going high-definition. All six movies will be on Blu-Ray DVD in the fall of 2011. They'll be sold as a box set and include new documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and more special features.
