March 10, 2010— -- Facebook lets you know everything your friends are thinking and doing, and soon it will let you know everywhere they go. Facebook will let its users share their locations starting late next month, according to the New York Times. Roughly a quarter of the site's more than 400 million members are accessing it from mobile devices.

Motorola released its newest smartphone this week, the Backflip, in the latest attempt to become a major player in the cell phone industry again.

It has one unique feature called Motoblur that is made for anyone who spends a lot of time on social networking sites, the Wall Street Journal's Katie Boehret said. "It consolidates all of your different messages from different people and displays them in one view," she said. "Motorola is really hoping that this addition of this smart software on its phones will enhance its view and the way that people look at it. But to be honest, I really don't think that the Motorola backflip is a serious contender for the iPhone."

Google is adding a bike lane to its popular mapping software. Bicycle directions are available on Google maps beginning today.

Google developed the service so it could recommend routes that would steer bicyclists away from big hills and heavily congested streets. The feature cpinpoints bike trails in more than 150 cities.

A British copywriter got a little creative with Google Maps, using it to build an interactive resume. He pinpoints all the places he has lived and worked, but he may be a little too honest. For example, for his education, he admitted to spending most of college talking nonsense in pubs. This kind of resume is certainly an interesting way to stand out from the crowd.
