Dec. 17, 2010— -- A new report is calling for an online privacy bill of rights. The Obama administration has issued a proposal to protect our personal information. It suggests rules requiring companies to give clear notice about what data they're collecting and how they're using it, while giving customers a chance to opt out. Any new rules would require Congressional action.

Visa has launched an iPhone app that gives card holders access to deals and promotions. The free app uses the phone's GPS to tap into local offers. Discounts are broken into categories such as entertainment, electronics and food. Users can specify which types they want.

Just in time for the holidays, video sharing site Vimeo is launching an online video school. The free site offers how-to videos with step-by-step explanations of basic video techniques, like framing and capturing good sound. You can find it at vimeo.com/videoschool.
