These Cameras and Camcorders Are Anything But Boring

— -- Casio, Polaroid, Panasonic, and Sony are putting camcorders and cameras into focus here at CES. We spotted a bevy of new models that do everything from go under water, print photos, and one tiny burst-mode Casio camera that can shoot at 30 frames-per-second.

Senior Editor Tim Moynihan is your guide in this video showing you what hot camcorders and cameras are here at CES.

Most of these cameras are just being announced this week, so you'll have to wait until the spring for them to go on sale. But there appears to be a trend among the offerings here and that is specialization.

Certainly no cookie-cutter offerings from Sony. We spotted models such as the Sony Cybershot DSC-G3 that has 4GB on-board storage, Wi-Fi connectivity, and huge 3.5-inch touchscreen display. With built-in Wi-Fi you've got direct access to Picasa, Shutterfly, Photobucket, and YouTube directly through the camera.

We also like what we saw from Polaroid. We checked out its 5-megapixel Polaroid PoGo Camera that is both a camera and a mini-printer that can spit out 2 by 3-inch pictures. This model is definitely not your dad's Polaroid Instamatic ("shake it like a Polaroid picture").

Panasonic was showing off its SDR-SW21 that can go up to 6-feet underwater that sports an impressive 10x optical zoom. Good for getting a close up of that shark just before it bites you.
