— -- Comedian JB Smoove has created a real "ruckus."

The actor best known for playing Larry David's sidekick, Leon, on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm has a lot more coming. He's got a busy December and January with a role in the new movie We Bought a Zoo, a correspondent spot on NBC's New Year's Evewith Carson Daly, and two Comedy Central stand-up specials. Did we forget to mention he's also got his own comedy website, TheRuckus.com?

We met Smoove at his favorite auto custom shop in Los Angeles, Coastline Motorsport, where he talked about his Ruckus website, love of the BlackBerry and disdain for all things Apple.

What is Ruckus?

It's a way of life, and "how you conduct yourself. Everyone has some form of ruckus in them," he says.

The site is his way of reaching out to fans to see what's on their "funny bone." TheRuckus.com launched in the summer and has since received more than 1,000 comedy videos from users. The videos run along with Smoove's comedy bits. "It's a great start, but we want to reach the millions."

The new iPhone 4S

"It's sexy. It's very nice. But not for me. It doesn't fit what I need. It's too skinny. I have big hands. I can't do the touch-screen thing. I'm a button guy. I want to press buttons."

Hence, the BlackBerry Torch

"I'm black and I'm sweet, so I'm a BlackBerry guy. And I'm red-hot and on fire, so I'm the Torch."

Checking e-mail first thing in the morning? Never

"I take a deep breath. I work out. I enjoy the moment."

What he takes on the road

His BlackBerry Torch, BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and a Sony MP3 player. The PlayBook hasn't won over lots of critics, but Smoove likes that it will play videos in Adobe Flash format, which the iPad doesn't do.

A Smoove playlist would include …

Singers Jeremih, The Roots, and his wife, Shahidah Omar. Of Omar, he says, "She's the beauty, and I'm the ruckus beast."

The meaning of his Twitter handle, @OhSnapjbsmoove

"Oh snap. … It makes you realize something is about to happen or just happened. Oh snap!"

No Apple fanboy

"It's a gang. You are part of a gang. You buy a new iPhone, a few months later, another new iPhone comes out, and you get online to buy another one. You can't get enough. You are addicted to Apple. This is crack. You can't shake it. You will stand in line all day to have the first one, because you're addicted."
