— -- In honor of the patron saint of Ireland, we find the perfect tech tools to celebrate St. Patty's Day in style.

BeerTender

St. Patrick's Day is an oft-cited excuse to start barhopping at an hour normally deemed too early for alcohol. But this year, the religious and cultural holiday falls on a Saturday. And what better companion to start your day with than Krug's BeerTender? The at-home bartender can hold 5-liter kegs, keeping beer fresh for up to 30 days at 37.4 degrees, what Krug says is beer's ideal serving temperature. With various detachable parts — including the top handle, pouring spout, disposable draught tubes and drip tray — cleaning should be a breeze. The BeerTender is compatible with pressurized kegs. In the U.S., that means Heineken and Heineken Premium Light DraughtKeg. While Heineken fits the color scheme of St. Patrick's Day, you'll have to go somewhere else for Guinness from the tap. The Krups BeerTender is available from Best Buy for $149.99.

Octane 120 Pro Beer Arcade

Another possible option for a home tap is the Octane 120 Pro Beer Arcade. What's not to love? It combines beer with arcade games. This thing looks like it belongs at a Chuck E. Cheese, complete with seat, steering wheel and foot pedals, but it's obvious this was made for adults. This is the only instance you can get behind the wheel while inebriated because the Octane 120 comes with a beer tap. The unit includes a high-output HD projector, PlayStation 3 connectivity and 200 arcade games. There's also a compartment for two five-gallon kegs or one half barrel keg. And of course, a convenient cup holder gives the driver easy access to beer during the game. The Octane 120 Pro is available for $5,995 from Dream Arcades.

Drink Fit

Just because it's St. Patrick's Day doesn't mean calories don't count. Beer can be heavy and caloric or it can be light and refreshing. Make better decisions by looking up the beverages in question on DrinkFit, an app for Android and iOS devices. Twelve ounces of Tsingtao run 153 calories while the equivalent amount of Bud Light Lime totals 116 calories. In addition to helping inform your alcohol decisions, the app can also keep track of your drinking habits, logging when you're drinking, how much you're drinking and how many calories the drinks have. It'll also bookmark your favorites for future reference. DrinkFit's iOS and Android apps are available for $1.99 and $1.49, respectively.

Irish Slang Dictionary

Love the Irish but can't quite understand them? We might speak the same language as our brethren on the Emerald Isle, but between the mentions of murder (used often in Ireland as an adjective to describe something being difficult) and deadly (meaning fantastic or wonderful), there's a chance you might misconstrue what your Irish friends are saying. Kolor Design's iOS app Irish Slang Dictionary (99 cents) can help bridge the gap, so everything doesn't sound like guff (nonsense). For St. Patrick's Day, impress the bartender at your local Irish pub with the following words, all used to describe drunkenness: langers, locked, ossified, paralytic and plastered.
