TechBytes: Facebook Online Display Ads
The social network's online ad revenue is predicted to surpass Yahoo's.
June 21, 2011— -- In today's TechBytes, a new survey says Facebook is taking over the top spot for online advertising.
EMarketer forecasts Facebook to rake in $2.19 billion in ad sales this year, topping Yahoo for the first time and taking 18 percent of the domestic online display market.
Google remains dominant in online search advertising.
'Brink'
In today's video game review: 'Brink'. The much-hyped, sci-fi shooter game takes place on a floating city that hovers above a flooded planet Earth.
CNET's Dan Ackerman gives the game a lot of credit for being ambitious and trying new things, but he cautions that it isn't for everyone,
"It's a difficult game to get into; it's very complicated. There are a lot of tutorial videos you have to watch to really understand what's going on. Mainstream audiences might find it's either too confusing, or they have to invest a lot of time to learn exactly how to play the game."
'Brink' is available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
