March 3, 2011— -- The wait for the new iPad is finally over. Apple CEO Steve Jobs took the stage Wednesday to unveil the iPad 2. The device is thinner, faster and lighter than the original. And CNET's Maggie Reardon believes consumers will especially welcome one new addition: the camera.

"Now people can use Facetime, you can do Skype. So that's a great feature. People were expecting it and they delivered," said Reardon.

The iPad 2 goes on sale next Friday. It's priced the same as the original, starting at $499.
