Twitter's Newest Executive Tweeted Only 8 Times Before Taking the Job
Omid Kordestani's resume is impressive. His Twitter account? Not so much.
— -- You could say he's making up for lost time.
Twitter's new executive chairman, Omid Kordestani, tweeted just eight times before accepting the position this week. Kordestani has an impressive resume, having worked at tech giants such as Netscape and Google, but he rarely used the service until he was officially named chairman Wednesday.
In the 24 hours since it was announced that Kordestani would leave Google for Twitter, he's at least showing his excitement in the right place, posting a series of tweets about his new gig.
Jack Dorsey, who took over as permanent CEO last week, tweeted a welcome to Kordestani Wednesday, writing: "Omid is a proven & experienced leader, who will directly help & coach me and our leadership, and help us recruit the best folks to Twitter."
