Nov. 2, 2008— -- Here's a roundup of the late-night comics.

Seth Meyers: At a campaign rally on Thursday, Sen. McCain called Joe the Plumber up to the stage only to discover he was not at the rally. In fairness to Joe the Plumber, he did say he'd be there sometime between noon and 6:00 p.m.

Jay Leno: After his big speech in North Carolina today, Senator Joe Biden said he was experiencing a sore throat, lost his voice. Boy, the good news doesn't stop for Barack Obama. Just one lucky break after another.

John McCain: I thought I might try a strategy called the reverse maverick. That's where I do whatever anybody tells me. I don't ask questions. I just go with the flow. If that doesn't work, I go to the double maverick. That's where I go totally berserk and just freak everybody out.

Stephen Colbert: McCain may be behind, but the man is a fighter. He doesn't know the meaning of the word "quit." He used to, but, it was stored in the same part of his brain that remembered to vet his running mate.

David Letterman: Here's how it works. Election Day is Tuesday. And then Wednesday is the first day of Sarah Palin's 2012 campaign.

Jimmy Kimmel: I'm not sure if Arnold thinks McCain is running for president or opening a Gold's gym. Arnold at Rally: At the Arnold's Classic, I want to invite Sen. Obama because he needs to do something, he needs to do something about those skinny legs. We're going to make him do some squats.
