Aug.16, 2009 — -- Here's a roundup of the late-night comics.

Stephen Colbert: A death panel is a disgusting plan that I will support only if it's televised and called "America's Got Six Months, Tops."

Jimmy Fallon: [President Obama] said twice that the AARP supports his health care plan, even though the AARP hasn't endorsed it. He's probably thinking of that other senior citizens' group, what's the name, oh, yeah, Congress.

Jimmy Fallon: In New Hampshire yesterday, President Obama tried to make a point about private companies and the government providing the same services. He said UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, it's the [U.S.] Post Office that's always having problems. That's probably going to anger some postal workers, but what's the worst that could happen?

Conan O'Brien: President Obama met with the Mexican President, Felipe Calderon, and they discussed the immigration problem. That's right, they met at the Mexican president's home, which by the way, is now in Los Angeles.

Bill Maher: Michael Vick said he never killed any dogs, he was merely counseling them on end-of-life issues.

CNN: They were asking what Mr. Obama thinks, but it was translated as Mr. Clinton. I guess they were asking what the president thinks.

Jon Stewart: You know who would be great at smoothing over this international incident? (Graphic of Bill Clinton appears.) Probably not going to work.
