J.R. Simplot, 99 -- An Idaho farmer whose company perfected the frozen French fry, accelerating the growth of the fast-food industry.

Harvey Korman, 81 -- An actor and comedian best known for his Emmy-winning work on "The Carol Burnett Show" and his role in the movie "Blazing Saddles."

THIS WEEK, THE PENTAGON RELEASED THE NAMES OF 6 SOLDIERS KILLED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.
