3. St. Lucia. "Even the kids will be blown away by the scenery -- it has striking mountain peaks -- and the beaches are awesome too," Cicero said.

4. Dominican Republic. Cicero said: "Your vacation dollars will stretch far here -- lots of great deals on hotels and airfare."

5. Puerto Rico. "You don't need passports, which can be a huge savings, and there's a lot to explore outside of your resort," Cicero said.

6. Caymen Islands. "It has fabulous beaches, plus many of the comforts of home," she said.

7. Bahamas. "Just off the Florida coast, these islands -- and their family-friendly resorts -- are an easy trip with the kids," Cicero said.

8. Barbados. "It's a family beach and nature trip all in one, since the middle of the island contains nature preserves," Cicero said.

9. Mexico. "The Riviera Maya section is teeming with family-friendly beaches and resorts," Cicero said.

10. U.S. Virgin Islands. Cicero pointed out: "The Cinnamon Bay area of St. John is actually a National Park. But you can take a ferry from one island to another to get a great mix of local culture."
