— -- Despite chilly temperatures, things are warming up on rooftop bars across New York that offer fireplaces, blankets and hot toddies.

Cuddle up with a cocktail at Dream hotel's Ava Lounge in front of a fireplace and scope the panoramic views of Times Square from your couch.

Heaters and blankets make for toasty supping and sipping at 230 Fifth rooftop garden and penthouse.

Shoot the breeze at the Empire Hotel Rooftop's indoor bar and lounge. Out on the terrace, a retractable roof comes out during winter months so bar goers can keep warm.

The Peninsula's rooftop renovations include a den for skyscraping sippers. Salon de Ning's cozy inside portion offers floor-to-ceiling windows for those too timid to brave the elements on the bar's outdoor beds.

La Quinta Inn's Mé Bar keeps night owls hooting with heaters and an enclosed bar.

The Hotel Gansevoort's Highbar is crowned with a tent and indoor loft with floor-to-ceiling windows so the chic can stay toasty while toasting with Café Royal made with Patron XO tequila, coffee and whipped cream. A fire pit and fireplaces keep partygoers warm on the wrap-around terrace.
