What's new in Vegas: KISS mini-golf, Beatles exhibit, more

— -- Las Vegas is constantly upping its excitement ante with new attractions to keep longtime visitors entertained and newbies booking a trip. Here's a rundown of some new tourist draws and upcoming events:

•Last week, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at The Venetian resort welcomed The BeatlesAbbey RoadTraveling Experience. On display through May 28, the exhibit features a re-creation of The Beatles' Abbey Road album cover, with the waxen stars crossing the street. However, it's not what it seems: Sharp-eyed fans will notice differences, some easy to spot, others harder to discover. You also can have yourself inserted into the album cover photographically. •Aria Resort & Casino presents the Michael Jordan CelebrityInvitational golf tournament Thursday through Sunday, a charity event. It's at the exclusive Shadow Creek golf course, normally open only to guests at MGM Resorts International properties. Celebs on the invite list include Sugar Ray Leonard, Wayne Gretsky, Maury Povich and Ken Griffey Jr. Daily general admission passes are $30 and weekly passes are $100. •The first KISS By Monster Mini Golf course, an 18-hole rock 'n' roll-themed course, just opened March 15. KISS members cut the red ribbon with their guitars. The course has KISS-themed holes, including one with a platform boot. There's also an arcade and "Hotter Than Hell" wedding chapel. •The MGM Garden Arena at the MGM Grand resort is hosting the Academy of Country MusicAwards April 1. It's also in the news for the premiere of Mike Tyson's one-man show, Undisputed Truth, which is due April 13-18. Information: mgmgrand.com.

•The Riviera Hotel & Casino, which bills itself as having the only bingo room on the Strip, brings back its $200,000 Superstar Bingo Extravaganza on March 28 and 29. Twenty games will be played per day, with a minimum payout per game of $3,000 plus a $25,000 Superstar Coverall at the end of both sessions. Check-in and registration begins Tuesday. •The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is opening the city's first EA SPORTSBAR March 31. It will have Sony PlayStation 3 game consoles, EA SPORTS games, high-definition TVs broadcasting sporting events, in an upscale living-room environment. Video-game "concierges" will offer games including Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, Madden NFL 12 and FIFA 12. The bar area will have six wall-mounted 70-inch LED Sharp TVs.
