Airborne Car Lands on Roof of Home Garage in California
The driver hit multiple cars before being launched onto the roof.
— -- A car landed on the roof of a California home’s garage Wednesday after striking multiple cars and going airborne.
The four-door Lexus sedan struck multiple parked cars in Palos Verdes Estates, a city in Los Angeles County, Wednesday afternoon after an unspecified medical condition caused the 52-year-old male driver to lose control.
The car veered off the road after hitting the parked cars, Palos Verdes Estates Police Sgt. Erick Gaunt told ABC News.
"He veered off the roadway and struck and jumped a raised cement curb along with other fixed objects which propelled the vehicle into the air," Gaunt said.
The Lexus landed on the roof of a garage attached to the home.
Gaunt said the driver was taken to a local hospital to treat his medical condition. No other injuries were reported.
The car was removed from the roof by a crane.
