— -- ABC News Meteorologist Mel explains how this week's weather forecast could impact your fantasy football league.

Falcons vs. Seahawks in Seattle:

A series of storm systems are impacting the Pacific Northwest with heavy rain and wind. In Seattle, rain is likely right through the weekend, and gusts could reach 30 mph; it's not the best weather for football. Let’s start with the Falcons' offense and that dynamic duo Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Unfortunately, they don’t have much going for them this week playing Seattle’s defense and nasty weather in the forecast, and remember they are used to playing in a dome. Ryan is fantasy’s top scoring quarterback, but it's no surprise he had his worst game of the season last week against the Broncos' top-notch defense. Now Seattle is coming off a bye and the weather will be downright messy, so he might not do much better. Jones was a bust last week, and now he has to deal with Richard Sherman and a slippery ball. Last week, the Falcons turned to the run game, and it looks like that could happen again. That’s why Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman are both worth starting. It’s going to be tough against Seattle’s defense, but they managed to play well against the Broncos, and the rain and wind could force them to get even more carries. On the Seahawks, sit Doug Baldwin if you have other options, he’s been very inconsistent and is too risky to play in this kind of weather. Christine Michael looks like a solid start; the Falcons' defense has been vulnerable to running backs and has given an average of more than 20 fantasy points per game to the position.

Chiefs vs. Raiders in Oakland:

Some of that rain will make it as far south as California, and Oakland has a good chance for showers on Sunday afternoon. Both Derek Carr and Amari Cooper have been boom or bust this season, so it’s hard to trust either of them with wet weather in the forecast. Cooper just got his first touchdown of the season in week 5, and it seems like Michael Crabtree gets more attention in the red zone. If we had to pick one receiver to start in this matchup it would have to be Crabtree. Jamaal Charles who is coming off a bye week and says he’s now feeling 100 percent. Both him and Spencer Ware look start-worthy this week against Oakland, which has a bottom five run defense. Also, start Travis Kelce; the Raiders are only one of six teams allowing at least 10 fantasy points to tight ends.

Here are your top 10 players to start and sit based on the weather this week:

No other city has a higher percent chance of rain during football season than Seattle. For Wayback Weather let's go back to one of the Seahawks' rainiest games -- Sept. 15, 2013, when they played the San Francisco 49ers Sunday night. The game got off to an exciting start with dueling interceptions, a safety and an hour-long severe weather delay, all before halftime. Seahawks fans even started a new fashion trend wearing the NFL-approved plastic bags as head covers to keep dry. In the end, the Niners couldn’t keep up in the heavy rain; the Seahawks won 29-3. In fact, out of the top 10 rainiest games in Seattle, the Seahawks won eight of them. Let’s see if they can pull it off again against the Falcons this week.
