Man Posts Craigslist Ad Offering to Be a Living Elf on the Shelf for Holiday Events

A Craigslist user posted an ad in the Boston area offering to attend events dressed as a living Elf on the Shelf.

For $100 an hour, party-goers can see this man sitting in any location the client desires, he wrote in the post, and he will “stare emptily at your guests for the duration of the event.”

Although he wrote that he specializes in holiday-themed events, whether it is for the requester or their unsuspecting friends, this man also offers contracted private investigation and babysitting services. The rates for these extra services are “negotiable based on the task at hand,” the ad said.

According to the ad, this man’s services are in high demand, and because of this, he requires a 48-hour notice for any event.

As for his name, that is for the client to choose, he wrote.
