Ethel Kennedy was the wife of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, a mother to their 11 children and constant presence in America's most famous political family. After the assassination of her husband, Ethel Kennedy founded the nonprofit Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, which continues the vision and humanitarian work of her husband through human rights and journalism awards.
