— -- Singer Sevyn Streeter says the Philadelphia 76ers pulled her at the last minute from performing the national anthem at the team's season opener over a "We matter" jersey.

Sevyn posted a short video to Twitter talking about the incident at the match-up between the 76ers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"I'm at the 76ers game singing the national anthem, and the organization is telling me I can't because I'm wearing a 'We matter' jersey," Sevyn said.

The 76ers organization sent a statement to Action News, a local ABC affiliate, that read, "The Philadelphia 76ers organization encourages meaningful actions to drive social change. We use our games to bring people together, to build trust and to strengthen our communities. As we move from symbolic gestures to action, we will continue to leverage our platform to positively impact our community."
