1. Temperatures in North Dip Below Zero
Temperatures dipped below zero from parts of New England to Chicago, approaching levels that have not been reached in the past four years in some places. The bitter cold weather is forecast to stick around through the weekend.

2. 3 Shot at Texas Community College
Three people were shot at a community college on Texas on Tuesday. Authorities say the situation occured because two gunmen got in an altercation and that it was not an active shooting incident.

3. Home Sales Drop, but 2012 Numbers Up
Existing home sales dipped in December from November, but according to the Nation Association of Retailors, the total number of sales rose in 2012 to the highest level in five years. Sales hit 4.65 million, up 9.2 percent from 2011.

4. Secy Clinton to Testify on Benghazi Attack
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to be on Capitol Hill today to testify about State Department security and the attack in Benghazi that left four Americans dead. Clinton is scheduled to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee today.
