1. School Clerk Says She Coaxed Suspect to Surrender
Antoinette Tuff, a school clerk at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur, Ga., said she was the one who convinced shooting suspect Michael Brandon Hill to empty his pockets and backpack of ammunition and to get down on the floor so police could apprehend him.

2. Wildfire Threatens 2,000 Homes
A wildfire near Yosemite National Park threatened more than 2,000 houses, hotels and camp buildings and forced a main highway to the park to shut down.

3. Manning to Be Sentenced Today
Bradley Manning is expected in a military court today for his sentencing hearing and faces up to 90 years in prison.
