Authorities working to account for the tens of thousands of people missing in wake of Typhoon Haiyan are also facing the challenge of getting desperately needed aid into a region devastated by one of the most powerful storms in history.

2. Incognito Says Actions Came 'From a Place of Love'
Suspended Miami Dolphins player Richie Incognito said the apparently threatening and abusive voicemails and text messages he sent to teammate Jonathan Martin, whom he called a good friend, "were coming from a place of love."

3. Senior Haqqani Leader Killed
Nasiruddin Haqqani, a senior leader of one of the most feared militant groups fighting U.S. troops in Afghanistan, was shot dead near Islamabad, an intelligence official said.
