Jan. 28, 2010— -- Toyota, the world's biggest automaker, has suffered another blow. It's extending its recall over gas-pedal problems to another 1.1 million vehicles in the U.S. Affected models include the Highlander, Matrix, and the Pontiac Vibe.

The recalled models are being added to a list of eight others announced on Tuesday, and Toyota also said it is extending the recall to vehicles sold in China and Europe.

The gas-pedal problems have been linked to numerous accidents, but as ABC's Brian Ross reported last night on World News, the details of the recall are not necessarily making it to the salesman at local showrooms, and many Toyota customers are confused about what they should do.
