March 11, 2010— -- On Friday, 300 of the world's most high-profile women will gather in New York for the first Women in the World summit. The focus of the three-day event is on women as the key to peace, prosperity and progress, in the United States and around the world. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Jordan's Queen Rania and ABC's Diane Sawyer are among the participants.

Tina Brown, the co-founder and editor in chief of The Daily Beast, is the woman behind the conference, and she speaks with Diane about the conference and her hopes for women in the world. What can we do to improve the lives of women in places where gender equality is a struggle? And how did Brown get all of these high-wattage women to participate?

It's the subject of today's Conversation.
