Protests unfolded in Tennessee Friday with demands police release body camera footage showing an officer-involved high school shooting that left a 17-year-old dead.

Police are investigating a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School, where two people were shot.

The suspect, who TBI has identified as an Austin-East Magnet high school student, was killed after an exchange of fire with police.

Knoxville Police Department officers responded to Austin-East Magnet High School in northeast Knoxville after reports of a male subject who was "possibly armed in the school," police said.

One person died and a police officer was shot at Austin-East Magnet High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, police said. Authorities are gathering more information.
